G & A 2007 FCWA 11
A mother applied for sole parental responsibility to make decisions both about the daily welfare and long-term issues on behalf of a 2.5 year old child, even while the child was living with the father, including arranging haircuts. A judge accepted expert evidence that the mother was protective and tended to micro-manage the care of the child that was provided by the father (parenting style protective).
The judge granted the mother sole parental responsibility for major long term issues affecting the child. The father was responsible for making daily decisions affecting the child’s daily welfare while the child is with him.
