A father raised 37 objections to findings and rulings by a trial judge. The appeal court noted that the father disagreed with the judge’s opinions and findings, and the father pointed out that alternative findings might have been found. However a person appealing rulings has the heavy onus to prove or to demonstrate that findings made by a judge were not reasonably open to be made (burden of proof). The father had disagreed but he had not raised further evidence in support of his own views.
