Dumky & Brearly 2015 FamCA 238
The father lived distant from a child aged 14 years.
The judge found that the mother had demonstrated a willingness to facilitate a meaningful relationship with the father as the mother took a laptop into the child’s bedroom when the father made internet video calls while the child was still in bed.
The judge found that it is proper for a child aged 14 years to have its own email address and for the father to send messages directly to this address (age of child, privacy).
