Prior to the hearing when the child was aged 7 years, the mother had removed the child to a secret location and the father did not see the child for 2 years.

Both parents alleged that the other used physical discipline with the child.  The judge issued a specific order that both parents be restrained from physically punishing or disciplining the child.

The child told an assessor that he did not want to see his father any more, and the reason he gave was that the mother did not like the father.  The judge gave no weight to the child’s wishes.

The judge issued a specific order that authorised any educational, medical or other professional service provider for the child to release information about the child to both parents (order to disclose information).

The judge issued an order that the father continue to organise therapy for the child.
